Regional Director:  Amanda McCall amandamccall@ncslma.org

Welcome Region 2 NCSLMA members.  This page contains member   specific information tailored to our region.

I am excited to serve as the NCSLMA Region 2 Director for 2024 &   2025. I graduated with a BS from East Carolina University and began   my educational career in 2004 as an elementary school teacher. I   earned my National Board Certification in Early Childhood Generalist   in 2009. In 2019, I moved out of the traditional classroom and served as   an Academically/Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Specialist. In 2020, I began   my journey to earn my MLS at North Carolina Central University.  I   have  worked for the Carteret County Public School System since 2004   and I am currently a librarian at Morehead City Primary School.

My goals for the 2024 & 2025 school years include:

  • Understand the needs of the Region 2 librarians and build a program of support to meet those needs
  • Grow the NCSLMA Membership in Region 2
  • Generate a professional development opportunity tailored to the needs of the librarians in eastern NC

Region 2 includes:

Brunswick, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, Wayne
