Thank you for attending our Winter Tune-Up Mini-Conference!  How will it work?

Expert presenters from across the state are offering live sessions Sunday, February 23 through Friday March 1.

Pre-recorded session will be released Sunday after the live kick off. 

1. Click on the link next to the pre-recorded session to access the session. 

Each presenter will provide virtual access to email, social media, or presentations to answer any questions you have about the information they share in their videos. Presentations are for NCSLMA members who registered for the Winter Tune-Up event. We encourage you to watch each session as many times as you'd like whenever it fits into your schedule, and to contact the presenters with any questions you have, but please do not share the links. The recordings will be available through March 31, 2025. 

Live sessions will take place on the Day/Date/Time listed. Presenters are excited to meet with you to share their expertise and answer your questions in real time. All live sessions will be recorded and you can watch and rewatch as many times as you like. 

Attendance Certificate:  The Certificate of Attendance for the 2025 Winter Tune-Up is located the top of this page.  The link will become active on Friday, February 28. You will need to make a copy of the form, complete it, and submit to your district, school, or charter organization for renewal credit. Participants are responsible for determining the number of hours to submit.

Research Resources Round-Up

Teaching research and providing resources for information literacy are key to our roles, regardless of age group! Together with some of the SLMC support team in NCDPI's Digital Teaching and Learning, we'll navigate some of the most reliable resources out there and answer your questions on utilizing them to grow research and info literacy skills in today's learners.

Dive into the exciting world of digital makerspaces and discover how they can spark creativity, innovation, and engagement for students in any learning environment. In this interactive session, participants will explore the benefits of digital makerspaces, experience hands-on activities with popular creation tools, and learn strategies for integrating them across the curriculum. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with a customizable digital makerspace template, a curated list of tools and resources, and practical ideas to bring their vision to life. One School, One Book: Easy as 1-2-3

Like the idea of everyone in your building reading the same book and excited to meet an author? Enter One School One Book. After 4 successful One School One Book initiatives and another one planned, come hear what works, what doesn't, and a whole plethora of ideas on how to start this literacy initiative at your school. Author visits become like a celebrity sighting with reading, theme days, and school wide activities leading up to the culminating assemblies. Examples of planning documents, author contacts, and lots of pictures will be shared.
